Anthony Scaramucci, who served a very turbulent 11 days as the communications director of President Trump. He now says President Trump may need replaced for 2020.
During a Sunday afternoon phone interview "Mooch" compared President Trump to a melting nuclear reactor. He said it's a possibility he could support another Republican candidate who challenges Trump.
"We are now in the early episodes of 'Chernobyl' on HBO, where the reactor is melting down and the apparatchiks are trying to figure out whether to cover it up or start the clean-up process," Scaramucci said per Axios.
"A couple more weeks like this and 'country over party' is going to require the Republicans to replace the top of the ticket in 2020."
Despite giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican candidates, with the Trump 2016 campaign among those, Scaramucci stated that if Trump "doesn't reform his behavior, it will not just be me, but many others will be considering helping to find a replacement in 2020."

If there's one thing true it's about Anthony Scaramucci, it's that he loves being in the spotlight. He will say whatever it takes to get his name in the news and this is no different.
Does Mooch really think President Trump needs competition in 2020? It's hard to say, but it's anyone's best guess. This interview was loaded with his usual scalding hot takes and things that were clearly said to move the needle.
President Trump has since responded to the Scaramucci interview. He was quick to point out the extremely short time that Mooch was in his role.

Eventually Scaramucci will go away for a few months only to again resurface when he makes some absurd claims to draw attention. It's all he knows.
